The Club conducted successful 12 epilepsy surgeries on patients of epilepsy at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre, Pune. The surgeries come as a second lease of life for the infant and young patients of epilepsy as their condition is totally reversed after these surgeries. The project is a signature project of the Club and was kickstarted by PP Rtn. Sanket Saraf. The total cost for 12 surgeries was Rs. 12 lakhs. The benefitting patients were between aged 2 and 24 years. These surgeries benefit the entire families of the patients and as such the benefit reaches multiple people whose life is altered because of these operations. The club intends to carry forward more such surgeries throughout the year. Donations are collected from individual donors as well as corporate companies for this project. Each surgery costs about Rs. 6 lakhs.
